After high school, I stared working for a recently founded company installing voice, data, and fiber optic cabling. Since I was the newest and youngest member of the team, I spent most of my time fetching tools or pulling cable in hot attics. It was not easy and I didn’t make a lot of money, but I learned a lot and really enjoyed the work. As the demand for networks continued to grow so did the company and, in turn, so did I.

After being in sales for a couple of years, I was given the opportunity to start and manage a second location for our business. This gave me a chance not only to develop and grow business relationships but also to develop and grow a team of people for our firm. My approach to leadership has always been the same as my approach to client relationships… in general, people want to conduct business with and work for, those they feel genuinely care about their well being! Back to business – our company continued to grow, both organically and through several acquisitions and by the end of 2018 we had 6 offices in 3 states and about 200 total team members. So, what began as a six person firm doing about $250k in overall revenue, developed in to the 14th largest security integration firm in North America, doing about $30M in total annual revenue. We sold the company in 2019.

I am the proud father of a 13 year old son. He is an awesome kid and keeps me on my toes – which is good because I’m only 5’5 (ha)! I’m a very active person and enjoy physical fitness, in all forms – I have completed several marathons, a couple of triathlons and also competed in crossfit competitions. I also equally enjoy the excitement of trying new things and stepping outside of my comfort zone – I was a member of the LR Chess Club for a while, have met with the LR Table Tennis Club a few times, and once even entered a Brazilian Ju-Jitsu competition without ever having trained (I lasted 3 minutes before being submitted). I live in Benton, I like to go the lake and I love to travel. If there’s a beach or beer involved, you can count me in!
